Support & Social Groups

Groups take place at the North County LGBTQ Resource Center unless otherwise noted, see time and dates.  All our support groups are always free to attend, contact us with questions at:

Additionally, you can stay alert for "GAP” updates via our Instagram, @ncsdgap, or Facebook, Gender Advocacy Project.

The Come As You Are (CAYA) support group provides a warm and welcoming space for the transgender, gender non-conforming, questioning, and intersex people of North County. We create a group dynamic that allows everyone to process their struggles related to their gender journey and cultivate tools for resilience.

The group is also open to SOFFAs (Significant Others, Friends, Families, and Allies)

We are meeting both at the Center and Virtually via Zoom!

Group meets every Monday from 6:30-7:30 pm.

TransFamily Support Group creates a safe environment with guided discussion for transgender and gender-nonconforming children, teens, and young adults to explore a multitude of topics around gender identity and expression.  Parents and other family members will meet separately to experience and express support, obtain resources, and learn more about what they and their children are experiencing.  TransFamily Support Group will help individuals and families navigate the journey when a member is transitioning from birth-assigned to identified and expressed gender.

Group meets 3rd Sunday of every month at 1:00-2:30pm at the Resource Center.
