Intersex Awareness Day Film Screening and Panel Discussion

October 26th, 2023
5:00 PM - 7:15 PM
John Landes Community Center

Join us for an illuminating evening in celebration of Intersex Awareness Day, as we come together to raise awareness, promote understanding, and foster a sense of community. This event promises to be both informative and inspiring, featuring a thought-provoking film screening followed by a dynamic panel discussion.

"Every Body" is a powerful documentary that explores the diverse and often misunderstood experiences of intersex individuals. Through personal narratives and expert insights, this film sheds light on the unique challenges faced by intersex people and emphasizes the importance of acceptance, support, and inclusion.

The screening will provide a platform for education and empathy, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding intersex identities and experiences.

Panel Q&A: Engage, Learn, and Connect

Following the film screening, we invite you to participate in a stimulating panel discussion. Our panel will feature individuals with lived experiences who will share their perspectives, insights, and stories.

This is an opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the intersex community's needs, struggles, and triumphs. Our goal is to foster a safe and welcoming space where everyone can learn, connect, and support one another.

Accessibility: We are committed to ensuring that this event is accessible to all. Spanish translation services will be provided to accommodate a diverse audience, and ASL interpretation is available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you require ASL interpretation or have any other accessibility needs.

Let us come together on October 26th at the John Landes Community Center to celebrate Intersex Awareness Day and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate world. This event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.

Together, we can raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and create a more inclusive society where every body is celebrated and respected. Mark your calendars, invite your friends and family, and be part of this important conversation. We look forward to seeing you there!
